All movies where a bike goes off road are like that, only difference is the money spent on the fakes and the coverage of them flying through the air and such

Seems legit... I took my FZR1000 down a dirt dragstrip a few times on street tires. 1st, 2nd or 3rd, didn't matter what gear I started in and rolling the throttle vs pinnin' it also didn't matter, 60mph was always the speedo indicated trap speed at the 100yd finish. The braking bumps in the shutdown area were interesting. The resulting uncontrollable tankslappers were real wristbreakers. Thankfully, I was able to ride 'em out.
