I just read some poor woman went off the road in TN and her husband spent hours climbing up a 300 ft ravine.
How about this one ! Good samaritan shot when stopping to get guy out of the ditch. http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...elping-stranded-driver-north-carolina-n502636
Yeah? Get back to work, ya pussies! http://m.nydailynews.com/news/natio...mb-unknown-soldier-blizzard-article-1.2506891
Here its just below freezing. Its getting very wet and heavy. Sun and mid 30s tomorrow. There are going to be problems.
Supposedly we got between 24-30" here in NY. It was supposed to be from 3-12" between the two days. Everything is basically shut down, bridges, trains, buses.
We handled it quite well here. I drove 60 miles during the height of the storm, snowboarded for five hours, and drove back 60 miles. Had to skip 15 miles of turnpike that was shut down on the way back, but that's understandable when 30+ inches fell on that section.
Tides were running about 5feet above usual levels. Water surrounds house. Dunes have breached on oceanfront. National guard helping flooded peeps where standing water is axle deep on a 10wheeler. Just hope the water recedes before it ices up. Oh, yeah, the 3 inches of snow are not the problem, btw.
