I just got word that we lost Scott Robertson at a track day incident at Jennings. I have no details just that we lost Scott a long time CCS/Florida racer and good guy.
no effing way.. He was about my age, late 40s' i think? Ran a wicked fast lightweight bike for years. Really good guy. Nasty day for news on riders passing away.
I was there and pitted directly across from him. Bit of speculation at this point. Will wait for the official word. He was gone instantly though. He was 51 Greg. I loaded his bike up with Sebastian and it was in near perfect condition, broken windscreen and some dirt on one footpeg. RIP Scott. Tough day for his family and friends, they're in my thoughts today.
Heard the ambulance screaming by yesterday then learned of the incident from a friend there. This sucks. God speed...racer.
Wow...David used to frequent JGP every once in a while, and would take some good pics. Had a pic of Scott on his wall for a few years, and just recently posted on JGP board looking to identify the rider (this before he passed). : ( Great pic too. http://www.jenningsgp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2224
my name is Zach Robertson. Scott Robertson is my father. I would like to thank you all for your kind words. So many memories I have of my father were at the track, I used to joke that I was nursed on race fuel. He loved racing, and he loved nothing more than being elbow to elbow with you guys. Speedy, is there anyway you could get me in touch with David? My family would love to have that photograph - it is the best I have ever seen of him on the track. Thank you all so much. here's our race weekend toast once more for my father, 'here's to beers, broads, and bikes that go fast!'
