I agree completely, my first one came from Tennessee, the 2nd from Alabama, and the Moriwaki came from Georgia. I live in S. Cal.
Good advice... Disregard the location requirement. I am mainly looking at something for the next bike for my 10yr old son. He is currently on a Honda NSF 100 which we got while overseas. Decent bike, but max speed is only around 60-65 and I want to find something which he will be allowed to participate in track days when we move back to the states in a few months. Thank you in advance!
Are you wanting this bike for trackdays primarily or racing? I ask because in the S. Cal area it is hard to get other 125's to race against, but it could be different in whichever organization you choose. Since you are on a 4 stroke already, you may consider a Moriwaki. There is one for sale about 10-15 posts down, out of Michigan. That is a decent price for a Moriwaki.
The bike would be for my 10yr old son, not me. I am on a BMW S1000rr. LOL! I think the next step up for my son is the 125cc class and then maybe by the time he is 14-15 he will be ready for a 600cc.
I will probably sell my kid's 2001 RS125 after the season, providing I find a second MD250 to replace it. I'm thinking about $3500 ACTUALLY ready to race.
