    that crash looked nasty...

nicky carrying the team on his back (to the pits...)

during the intro of nicky hayden i turned to my girlfriend and told her "Nicky will finish 6th. every 3rd race he finishes 6th..."

Didnt look like his rear wheel wasn't moving during or afterwards

    spoon32 Huh???

I hadn't done the math prior to now, however I find it fairly disappointing that Speed couldn't handle showing this US round live...... either due to a lack of providing a proper technical team, or more likely do to the fact it didn't work around their seemingly mandatory NASCAR programming. Although I don't expect much from Speed anymore..... I would have expected to at least get our 2 US rounds broadcast live.

    sure

That it didn't break until after he crashed of course.

Have a look at 1:28:18 on the feed. The replays of it show it very clearly.

Try looking at it from 1:47. It looks like he catches part of the curb.

Times are screwed up because it starts from when you open the feed. The replay after the race is what I'm looking at.

1:09 on the post race feed.

    Full race is now up.

50:05 shows the whole thing. Right as he gets back on the stick, the rear collapses. He goes over the top.

There will be plenty of footage showing this in the next 24 hours.

What a bummer. Hope Ben is ok.

    Spies crash

Watching it in speed again, I have to agree something sure seems to have broken, the other guys are running the same line Ben was on and no bump, if it was a component failure I doubt it will be publicly acknowledged.

1:09:07 shows the collapse. Bike goes sideways...since there is no suspension.

I'm so bummed for everything going on with Spies right now it's hard to put it into words. I hope he does great in what ever he decides to do next but I thought he would be the next American MotoGP champ.

Why does Spain have such a deep pool of talent??? I feel like it will be forever before we get another GP rider with a shot at the title (no offense to nicky).

And people are still saying there's nothing wrong in Ben's garage? Really?

    banzai132 Oh shit! not again!

I wondered why the line at the top of the corkscrew was a little screwy.

If that was the bike he crashed yesterday, It probably had a stressed part only seen through x-ray. Anyone have one of those? I'm sure the teams might.....back in Europe!

Watching the feed on SPEED, the back end definitely just collapsed coming out of the corkscrew. Like a linkage bolt came loose and just went out .
