Trademark search and application services recommendations?

I would like to look into applying for a trademark for a logo.

I have used the USPTO’s search engine to look for similar logos and I did not find their search engine to be particularly user friendly or conclusive. I performed a quick Google search and found several sites that offer to perform the trademark search and application for you, but I don’t know which sites are reputable and thorough.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a service that will perform the trademark search and the application based on your experiences?

The name search is easy. The logo search is not so easy as it comes down to sifting through their standard terms.

I've used an attorney and done it myself, but never one of the online services. Whatever you do, make sure they CLEARLY understand what you're trying to do because a logo search will be far more time consuming than a name.
