Soooooooooooooo, he has maybe 11 bazillion miles on the bike, helped develop it and he only beat some goof ball who had never seen the bike just 4 days before? Impressive.
Different eras, to be sure. Schwantz would qualify mid-pack, & then pull a "Schwantz", just like in the 90's, & toss it big style trying to ride harder than he/the bike/the tires could handle. (& he'd likely break his wrist!)
Sorry ya got your panties in a bunch, but Ill stand by my statement that based on the majority of your posts here as well as the dungeon, that in fact you are a fucking idiot. Dont get so bent up about it. Its a part of your life. Embrace it and enjoy
Since we are comparing apples to oranges, I saw Kevin do EVERYTHING in his power, INCLUDING jumping a start in an AHRMA race on one of the top bikes(if not the best) bikes in the field just to BARELY beat AHRMA regular Tim Joyce on Norton Manx at Barber. You know, the track where Kevin holds race schools.... I mean, Kevin is one of my heros, but just like all older guys, they eventually slow down.... Similar could be said of Dave Aldana with flat track. He still competes and takes it serious, but he sint always a favorite to win. Even thogh he's still in the hunt You guys need to wake the fuck up. Kevin came from a time when after the races, ya go get drunk and chase pussy. These guys today are in a whole different league in prepping and physical conditioning.
I've beaten Tim before on like equipment in a spec class... I guess that makes me faster than 34? Riiiight.
Theodore, dont take me out of context. I'm simply stating that there is a HUUUUGGGEEEE difference from the 1993 Kevin and the now Kevin. IMO the "now Keving that i've seen race and the one I've seen on youtube(yea i know. I am young) is not the same. Ted, you know him personally, and better than most here. Do you feel he could compete in today's GP world? Do you feel that when he races today that he is sandbagging? What I saw was that he put in a lot of effort when he still races.
