RIP...I was working this event and when the news came I felt like I got punched in the gut..sux.

I was there and another buddy was involved but is ok. this is terrible, and godspeed fellow rider.

I was at the event, but left before the incident.

 

This has been a very rough day to say the least... but yes, we did lose a rider at Barber today. Out of respect to his wife, family and friends, I do not want to mention the rider at this time. Everyone that needs to know, knows at this point.

I am basically numb at this point.... you could start punching me in the gut and I wouldn't even feel it.

As Trevor stated, out of respect I will not name the rider, but he was up with us from Tampa. He was not a racer, but an avid trackday guy and this was his first time at Barber. I'll make sure to pass along the thoughts & prayers to his wife, I'm sure she will be comforted to know that so many people are thinking of him, even those whom he has never met.
