I thought Bayliss was under contract to Ducati?

Baylis is under contract to test the Ducati bike(s). There may or may not be additional clauses that would prevent him from racing another bike. Money could always change hands between Yamaha and Ducati to make it happen either way. It all depends if Yamaha want that bike to be competitive or use this time to test out a new young rider.

Sucks for Rossi, and he had an amazing run of not missing a race.

 

Since both companies are trying to sign Rossi right now, I doubt Ducati will loan Yamaha Bayliss. I'll bet Troy kicks Kim in the taco every time he watches a WSB race this season.

I agree. This will also give Pedro and Stoner even more motivation. While Stoners still a real long shot at this point, he's definitely not as far back as before the incident. I don't think it will be a runaway for Yourgay.
