I am guessing the compass helps him find others that are special, or find the carnival.

 

I think it has something to do with him finding other cheerleaders

After two lousy seasons, it was time.

 

It was sucking serious wind... talk about loosing sight of what go you there.

Damn it, yes the show went downhill, but they could have saved it by just letting Claire walk around naked.
