Where in the WORLD do you guys get the outer bearing races that are press fitted in the steering neck of the frame. Contacted local dealers and almost every on-line micro fiche and i'm being told they are not available?!?! I guess next stop will be a bearing supply co.
why not go with the all balls set up .Comes with both head races ,dust seals and tapered roller bearings.Far superior set up to stock . 35 bucks i think
never bought them ,but probably put in 25 sets of all balls steering bearings with no issues . Are yu talking about the ceramic wheel bearings they make ? what is wrong with them ?
Just looked at the "All-Balls" web-site, think i'll go that route, thanks... But out of curiosity, if you buy the upper and lower bearings (#9 and #2) it will come with the outer races that are pressed into the frame? http://fiche.ronayers.com/Index.cfm...GSX_R1000/GroupID/330853/Group/STEERING_STEM_
Didn't know they made ceramics, but never had good luck with the "standard" ones...stockers are the way to go, never had to replace a set of OEMs (except on my dirt bikes...different story)
