Thanks Dave, Im still in the research stage. I have not made up my mind. Ohlins or Penske so I was not aware of the overall lengths. Thanks for the info the puzzle is getting clearer everyday.
By your own answer they need to be extended. The forks u described have extenders on them. If u have stock forks or forks without extenders you need them on your gsxr 600/750. Depends on which tire you're running as to how your ride height needs to be. With the 211 ntec u need about 4mm of extender sticking out the top. And the rear with about 2 threads showing, depending on your swingarm lentgh.
Up here in the PNW, where Ed is, we don't run Gixxers that way. We run them more nose down, ass up. Suits our tracks better.
Pacific Raceways is one of the best tracks in the country for bike setup (ask Muzzy about this). Its only issue right now is its bumpness. This is one of the tracks he is talking about.
They require flickability - sorta point and shoot. We have fewer endless sweeping corners that require more trail (although my setup worked great at Thunderhill too). Running the ride heights most people do on the gixxers would make them turn like a tractor. I do run the GP 25mm kit, which I don't know if it's been internally lengthened, but they seem to ride higher in the stroke. But I run stock fork caps (as do pretty much all the racers up here) right about the stock position in the triples.
