Two years ago this summer when I started researching the 1125 I had no intentions of ever racing or trackday riding which I had never done before. Finally got the bike last September, tried a trackday in October, entered my first race in November. The bike has not been back on the street since October. Everyone that rides the bike at the track likes it. It's not that fast but it's easy to ride. Any stock liter bike pulls me on the straights pretty hard but it does handle good. I think for an old man (59) that's just starting a racing career it's a great bike.
Have the fueling issues and heat issues and starting issues been sorted? Maybe that stuff only affects the street riders over at badweatherbikers 1125r forum.
..... But she has a good personality ... OR , Batman gonna be pissed when he finds out the boy wonder took the bike out again ....
I rode one on the track last year (also an "Inside Pass" day) and didn't like it. But that's just me.
It's my first racer. Please don't ruin the glow. Sometimes ignorance really is bliss. About its looks, it's like an ugly pup only an owner could love.
It was done long before Erik dreamed up the XB9. Check out Santiago Herrero's Ossa 250 powered GP bike from the early 60's. http://www.flickr.com/photos/omotarra/265901879/
