Fritz never gave an inch on the track, but would give you the shirt off his back, or anything else if you needed it. You will be missed. Godspeed!
I really great guy. He will be missed... no more suffereing. Now he can watch over all of us and his family. RIP....
Got to know Fritz pretty well when I raced the WERA Endurance Series with him and Taylor Knap in 2004. Great rider and a great person, he will be missed. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
This news saddens me greatly. I used to watch Fritz at Nelson, kicking ass in the mid-late 90's, then go stand just far enough away from his pit so he wouldn't notice me, and watch him before/after some of his races. I stood at a distance, because he may as well have been a rock star, movie star, or whatever, and I didn't feel I was priveleged enough to just walk up and say hi. I wish I had talked to him. RIP, Fritz.
That's the thing about Fritz, he was totally approachable. He would have given you a big smile and talked to you like he knew you for years. He was an everyday guy, who was extremely good at racing.
His guest book is a must see.... http://www.legacy.com/LSJ/gb/GuestbookView.aspx?PersonId=119861904&PageNo=18
This is really sad news. I met him at Loudon a few years back, what a truly nice, unpretentious guy. Godspeed Fritz.
