I highly recommend you watch Frontline's The Choice 2008. Great information on both candidates, very well done. It is available streamlined on PBS.org.

Might you feel better about your choices...

There are currently 8 lawsuits by various states attorney generals
( Pennsylvania, Hawaii, Washington, California, Florida, Georgia, New York, and Connecticut) demanding Obama release a vault copy of his birth certificate to certify him as a Presidential candidate.
So far, he has refused to answer. They have previously released a computer-generated Certification of Live Birth, issued in 2007 by the State of Hawaii.

The 2007 document produced by the Obama campaign omits key information that normally appears on birth certificates in the United States, including the name of the hospital where he was born, the size and weight of the baby, and sometimes the name of the doctor who delivered him.

Critics of the 2007 document note that Obama's father is described as “African,” a term used today. The formal language in official documents at the time — 1961 — would have identified his race as “Negro” or “Colored.”

This is an example of a vault copy from that time.

According to Obama's book, he possesses a vault copy, so why not just release it?
    This could get interesting.

The requirement of being a Citizen is also met by his mother being a citizen.

The birth certificate noise is a red hering.

It would seem that, as long as his mother retained her citizenship, this is a non-issue.

Reference to him being a "soldier" is a reference to his belief in the chain of command and following orders. Whether he had the intestinal fortitude or not neither you nor I would know. I have little doubt that he did not agree with Bush and Cheney on a multitued of issues but the bottom line is, as a Secretary of State (just like as a soldier), you follow the chain of command. If you're so inclined to deviate from El Presidente's policy making, then you should just say you're retiring to spend more time with the family (or some similar bullshit).

P.S. I think he definitely f*cked up for not resigning earlier, but I do recall someone quoting him as having said something along the lines of "if I resign the country will be ill served as there'll be no one left to advocate reality"

    Then why didn't he?

If that's a quote from him, and he was advocating reality, then you should all believe there were actually WMD's in Iraq. Either that or he didn't know what he was talking about. Pick one...

In other words, people's memories are awful short. The Bush administration that like to disrespect so much endorsed their candidate and they didn't even notice.

    (diet)DrThunder Why so serious, son?

That's all true, except for the born in Nigeria, raised as a Muslim, promoting a Socialist gov't parts.

That leaves his name (who cares) and that he used coke. I read somewhere that he would have used more coke, but George W. and Keith Richards had done it all already.

So what would be the point...that the Super Secret B. Hussein Obama Front has somehow 'gotten to' someone in HI, and that person has the ability to falsify a legally issued birth certificate?

    The Truth is out there...

    (way out there, apparently)

    Then why didn't he what?

That is not a quote from him (read what I wrote again), and how did you come up with your conclusion?

So your defense of Obama's drug use is put GW in the same league as Keith Richards. That is just rediculous.

That's comparing two light weights to the Michael Phelps of cocaine use. :D

Which still begs the question, why not just release the document he claims he has?
Not saying I beleive one way or the other, but that would be the simple and logical choice to answer any questions out there.

This is the same guy who won't release his health records either.
    Why not?
