Not to step on ur toes It seems this thread was about the announcer, not the flagman. Just so we can have another discusson about the flagman without everyone sifting through the announcer post. I really want to hear everyones opinion regarding the flagman and how it was handled.
Didnt know that, its my family name and every Aquino I have ever met pronounces it a-keen-o sorry for the mistake. Looks like everyone in the world but him does as well http://www.merriam-webster.com/cgi-bin/audio.pl?bixaqu01.wav=Aquino
Yep, what Carrie says goes so it's ah-queen-oh. Dan - no worries but no need to go pimping other threads either. People will wander through em all.
I think Rich did a great job during the 2nd half of the day. Starting is one of those jobs that good starters make look easy. I would hate to try and do it, 'cause I know just how hard it really is. You need to be on top of your game every lap of every race with hardly any chance for a break. Really it's more than that too, with practice and keeping track of the minute boards. I think we're pretty lucky in my region to have Al, Dan, Don, Rich and Rodger when needed.
Now you done it Thomas. I am not sure of the others on this list but I was born south of the Mason Dixon Line and East of the Missippi. There ain't no "D" in my name! My name is not Rod-Ger
