does anyone know of anyone with an old suzuki drag bike set up with the air shifter, 10 inch rear tire, wheelie bars and about a 1500cc motor that will run the 1/4 in like the 8 second range. Need to find something like that. let me know. Thanks, email - [email protected]
give me some contact info, i have a guy who is wanting to mess with some drag racing and wants me to ride the bike. Thanks boss man. this a joke or for real?
Lee Sheirtz is probably as good as place as any to start. Lee's Performance in Charlotte NC. 704-509-5070.
I think the once long haired hippie knows a bit about Drag racing bikes. Last I was out at the Lynn's I think there was a rolling chassis sitting around. I'm sure he knows some people.
Good luck with that. Motors for the 8 second range in the quarter cost at least $8-$10 to build. You would need a chassis to hold your ass up, and it ain't gonna be stock to turn those times. I'm politely suggesting that you need to rethink your approach. If you've never drag raced and think that your road racing skills will put you up front, think again. I learned that first hand many years ago. Those guys are so slick in the first 60 feet that it will put your dick in the dirt.
I bet some of that wet georgia red clay would actually feel good:up: in a non sexual way of course...(NTTAWWT)
A slightly modified Busa or ZX14 will do high 8's in the 1/4. But you will not get that kind of set up for 8g's. But you may be able to build one for not much more than that, with the new Busa in line for 08' the older ones are going cheap right now. Turbo would be the way to go.
See the Shiny Wing on the back of that Purple bike??? I built that.., and the shiny belt guards and the stand, and the exhaust and half of the rear fender (It's all hand formed aluminum)....LOL, seems like a lifetime ago..
