I need to buy some today around the Detroit area. Home Depot? Lowes? Anyone got any great ideas? Need to weld a YZ250 fuel tank. Recycle code says "PE". I have a plastic welder that will take the 1/8" rods just can't find the rods on short notice. And most plastics houses are happy to special order some for me - 10 pounds worth. I just need to fix a cracked gas tank....
Try a harbor freight store. They sell a pack of rods w/ three different types of plactic in them. Ryan
I'll do that. but I was hoping to get them in-hand today so I could weld it up tonight and get the tank on the bike tomorrow morning for a race.
or.... does anyone know if I can weld a PE tank with PVC, PCPP, or PC ABS rods? I have those in had (that's what harbour freight sells in there package).
