It's official - I have now wrecked EVERYTHING I own at some point or another...

More carnage - there were no survivors:

I was dealing with two FAA inspectors today that later had to leave abruptly, perhaps they needed to go to Rome:rolleyes:

Over 200,000 miles and the heated seats still work like a dream...... (but I'm sure you're right)

Was it trying to take off on a conveyor belt?

That BMW is in great shape to have 200,000 miles on it.

Was the pilot OK? I was in the CAP and I saw a few crashes in my time, but this one takes the cake.

Well...the pilot was treated for severe wounds to his pride.

Lesson: If you don't fly a plane for a couple of years, you should recharge the NiCADs overnight first...

...and it was going so well, that was the 3rd (and last) flight......

BMWs stay tight forever as long as you maintane them. Great cars.

Sadly yes, failure to maintain AGL is the most likely cause at this point in the investigation.

Of course, it was made by an English dude. The electronics were Lucas, carbs SU and motor Norton.

Hmmm? taking that into account it's entirely possible it suffered a catastrophic fuselage failure...Like the Comet did back in the 50's.

However, it would be prudent to wait until the investigation is completed before making a final conclusion.
