Anybody live in or around? I may be relocating very soon and am looking for any info available. Things like: Are there any dirt bike friendly areas?, recommended places to eat, places to stay, etc. Any info is appreciated.

I lived there my whole life until I went to college. It is a really fantastic city with a lot of culture for a smaller midwestern city. Of course I will suggest the legendary Arthur Bryants for BBQ ribs and a brisket sandwich.

I live here currently. Well, actually, I live in Johnson County, which is on the other side of the state line. As far as I know, there are a few dirt tracks around here or within an hour or so. Move to Johnson county, KC,MO is high crime in some areas. Else, move to some where in the suburbs. Places to eat...depends on what you like. There is a helluva lot of culture here and lot of great places. I have lived here for the last 14 years. I really can't imagine living any where else currently.

Damn Johnson County Snobs!!! Kidding Silent.

I live in the city and have had no problems. It's actually a pretty good place to live. Don't know about dirty riding but we've got 5 road courses within 4-5 hours. 1, Heartland Park (very nice track btw) is only an hour away. If you've got a family then Silent's right JoCo is a pretty good place to raise kids, but if you're single live in the city.

I'm in JoCo as well, and I'm w/ Silent - KCMO sucks. Go to the KS side, where the roads are smooth and your safe at night.

  8. I lived there for a very short time...but had a good time out there. I stayed in an Apt. close to the amusement park on the North side of town because it was close to the plant I was working at. I worked down the road from I think it was called "The Station Casino"...it was fairly new in 97 when I was there. I had friends that I worked with that lived north of where I was and it was pretty nice up there. I loved going downtown on the weekends...there were a lot of cool places to hang out and drink without anyone bothering you. Every major city has it's bad parts!
