Law breakers on bikes deserve no more special privileges than law breakers in cars. HIS CHOICE to ride and run. Responsibility begins when you turn on any ignition. He died by his own hand... the right one.
Yea, rapists and drug dealers get more due process than this guy from which had such a law traffic offense...
This ain't about rapist and drug dealers. It's about a fool who ran from the law, and payed the ultimate price for doing so. He could have been running because he was a rapist and a drug dealer though.
Due process was not taken from him, he gave it away. Had he pulled over he would have been given his day in court.
He wasn't "ran over"... He "ran into" a vehicle pulling into the legal roadway in a legal manner while he was occupying said roadway in an illegal manner. You might consider becoming conversant with the alleged facts before taking and proposing a stance.
But it was his choice. Everyone is missing the point. If he HAD stopped, he would still be alive. If he had stopped, the county worker would not be under investigation. If he had stopped, no one would worry about the kids playing in the road down the street. It's all about actions. Every action has a consequence. You know that when you do an action. Sometimes the consequences are good and sometimes they are bad. But ultimately the decision lies with the person doing the action. They are the ones that set everything in motion. If he would have stopped, there would have been different actions and different consequences but he would have still been alive. You make the choice, it doesn't make you.
READ THE STORY HE WAS NOT RUN OVER.......... he ran into the side of a car. Maybe if he was a racer he would have been better on the brakes.
Hence the phrase "alleged facts"... Ya reckin' that investigation will show that he was "ran over" then he flew off the bike and into a pole?
I imagine it will go something like a conversation over a radio and the guy in the truck trying to be a hero...
While commiting crimes at least 2 more than likely more. Oh and for the record if your rapist had a gun he would be hard pressed to live through his arrest. Cause if it got point in the cops or the vic's direction, see ya. So your point made, not much sense. When driven in a reckless manner a car or a motorcycle becomes a dangerous weapon. Period. Ever seen a motorcycle end up inside a house? I have it landed right next to the empty baby crib. (thank god the baby was not in the house at the time) I have also seen one in the candy isle at a Quality Dairy (its like a gas station) store at 9:00am on a Saturday. No one hurt that time either.
Congrats, you have pulled two examples that are in the 2%. Glad your baby wasn't in the crip though, that's some messed up stuff...
