Ace.......whew! He gets my vote on looks but I liked Bon Jovi and Jay Leno for vocals.

FWIW, Taylor Hicks is without a doubt the best male performer.

..with that said..The ladies outperformed most of the men.

I haven't. But seems to me the style (Ray Charles) is already taken. I guess he just bugs me with his routines. Too gimicky.

 

I don't think it is an act. I think there is possibly something wrong with him.

We voted for Elliott, easily the best vocals, but, ahhhhh, bit sketchy in the looks department, so we figured he need our help. We give all the contestants nicknames so we don't have to remember their actual names... Bucky = Lynyrd Skynyrd (dubbed him that before he sang Simple Man...pretty good, ay?), Ace = Baborama, Elliott = Ugly Guy, and so on...

Hey, let's start a thread on what we think they should sing next...lots of folks chose absolutely the wrong thing...

Elliott = Turn the Page
Taylor = Drift Away

Bon Jovi/Disturbed lead singer

George Michael/Scot Stapp

Joe Cocker/Jay Leno

I only watched 1/2 of it last night because LOST was a re-run...but I thought the girls did MUCH better the night before! I agree....Elliot is a scarey looking!!! :wow:

 

We missed the ladies night..dammit. Anyway I remember the little black girl has a HUGE voice and she's cute as a button. Can't remember offhand which other girls stood out in the earlier auditions.

Seems like I can remember a BUNCH of baaaad ones tho!

 

I thought the guys were better than the girls.

 

I'm happy with the two girls that left and so far the one guy. Although I wish that Brenna girl had been voted off.

Yeah, we dubbed Brenna "Obnoxious"...would have preferred her or Heather "Other Blonde Chick" to go...but Stevie chose a crappy song...would also have preferred Gedeon or Frank Sinatra to go vs. Pencil Neck...
