Just to be clear, I've stayed out since cashing out. Just happy for him that it's working out so far.
I feel like all those services are on their last legs... check out the driver pages on reddit. Its pretty bad.
And yet they’re still doing it despite all their bitching. (Psst—people like to bitch, and blame “the rich” for exploiting them)
No... there is some of that of course, but the stories about doordash stealing tips, and uber eats drivers getting tips reduced by 75% are pretty crazy. Then how they try to combine routes and weird stuff like that, and its just a big mess. Drivers are leaving and without drivers the services die. https://www.businessinsider.com/doordash-25-million-settlement-lawsuit-tipping-model-2020-11
So what you’re saying is…it’s time to cause….i mean fix an issue somewhere in the world so we can import, errr….humanely allow a large amount of unskilled low wage workers…..umm refugees into the country so we can keep this necessary business running. message received.
And to the best of my knowledge, not a single gig worker has been held at gunpoint and forced to take a fare. But maybe I’m just not paying enough attention.
I don't think you understand how the internet works. People that are making money and are doing well don't post about it, so all you see is the bitch fest from the minority that aren't. You can browse social media and fool yourself in the thinking that the entire world is just coming apart at the seams then you look outside and people are just getting on with their lives... It's weird shit.
I don't care one way or another, just letting you know what I saw about drivers leaving and how it will affect those services that rely on them, and the stock prices. If you want to buy the stock, go for it! If, like sanee thinks, you want to sell it, go for it!
Announces a share buyback plan then forecasts mediocre earnings...fucking genius. I see nothing to hate, and they're local so if they fuck me I can go shit on their lawn in person...so I'm buying.
