Lowery was probably thinking of the screamer V4, which sort of sounded like an i4.

Doh! I guess I've missed that because they have a more raspy high pitch sound. Bike in the video has a more traditonal V4 note . Thanks Richard

I was thinking that except for the V3 and V5 the Honda GP bikes of the last 50 years or so have all been V4s.

You might have been thinking Suzuki. They had a V4, quit and came back with an in-line 4 (and then quit).

Damn, forgot about that one. That’s insane since if I ever won powerball it’s (or an aprilia V2) one of the first things I buy. a platinum grill is the first of course.

When the 4 stroke era started Honda went V5.

    2003-2006. They've been running a V4 since the 800s.

Bradl has been testing a bike all with a different firing order since November. Well, at least in Spain. I don't know if he tested that in Japan before. I don't know if the regular riders had that e ngine at Valencia either that but chassis was very different from what they raced two days earlier. And allegedly much lighter.

I like the Aprilia/Gigi part of that, minus MM. Being the twat that he was, I still kinda root for him to make a little bit of a come back.

Why would GiGi go back to aprilia?

He already declined a move to Honda this year, and I'm sure they had the checkbook out for him. He already said it took him time to get everything in place at Ducati, and he has no plans of leaving.

Cash talks but I doubt aprilia has as deep pockets as Ducati.
It would be interesting to see if any of the Japanese would throw money at him.
