My garage looks good now. You really have to see this bike in person to appreciate the details. It's like Tiffany jewelry. The pictures are too large to upload so here they are: https://www.blogcloud.io/b/edge-grip-podcast/p/a-few-shots-of-my-new-bimota-kb4
I’ll check other photos on the web but it’s pretty cool in your photos. What’s the race bike next to it?
I like the single headlight. Real interesting styling that I bet is pretty polarizing. I’m on the fence if I think it’s absolutely gorgeous or funky but cool.
I've got to agree with motion on this one. I am glad you love it. I'm glad it's in your garage and not mine.
Kawasaki bought a 50% share of Bimota a few years ago, so we probably will never see beautiful Ducati-powered Bimotas again.
Popular? They sold maybe a few hundred bikes a year but early on you got a scalpel from bimota while Honda or Kawasaki would sell you a stone axe. chassis that turned, suspension that wasn’t two pogo sticks tied together with bungee cord, brakes that stopped and they looked awesome. And they were sano af.
I was aware the design was not everyone's cup of tea when i got it. Personally i love it because it reminds me of a combination between a cafe racer and an 80's race bike. You really need to see it in person to appreciate the quality of the components, the carbon work, CNC parts and even the leather seat. It's just a Tiffany's piece of jewelry wrapped into two wheels.
You should also listen to the episode we did with Bob to get some insight into what goes into making them.
