To be honest, that's not really a good thing.
The Yamaha, in general has made no progress in 2-5 years depending on how you look at it.

Pol could potentially do a better job as he's been on a Honda and a Ducati and could translate some of that knowledge to the YRC folks.

Separately, Savadori, in conjunction with Aleix and Maverick seem to have created a viable bike.

In Moto 2 news, whispers of SDK going to WSSP with MotoZoo aboard a MV.

I feel bad for SDK, the dude is likable (his dad is an ass) but he seems to be the announcers favorite or at least they're nice about it.

I really hope Kayla and/or Ty Scott get a Europe ride in the big show.

Do you know his dad? He's a good guy. Yes, he let his emotions get the better of him once, but who among us has not wanted to throw something at the race track?

pickled egg There is no “try”

I’ve thrown plenty at the racetrack.

Damn near every bike I’ve ever put on one!

Ducati - 1 year in 2014. The current bike is no where near what that technology was.
Honda - through 2020. Again, 3 year old information

Regardless, I just don't see Yamaha making any inroads on bettering the bike for their riders.
Development rider is one area where they could make a change with minimal negative impact.

where is Guintoli going? He did an awesome job as Suzukis test rider and also riding their world endurance bike.

Yup, rumor is Guintoli will be testing for BMW WSBK and endurance. I think he’ll race with the endurance team too. It sounds like they are trying hard not to waste the investment in Toprak. I hope he’s already riding and they are taking what they’ve learned this year to tweak the production baseline chassis for next year. Not much time to do that though.

Logic says Zarco backs into the Repsol seat. Jesus, has this guy got Nine Lives or what?!

Now who fills LCR? I've got $5 on Dixon. Who's got Iker?

Shows how incredible Marquez is and how much belief he has in himself. What other champion has wanted to win so badly he left a high paying factory job to go slummin on a privateer team!! he knows he is good and wants to win again!!!

Once again demonstrating why he is the GOAT!!!

Crash article where Cal basically said he's not going to re-sign as a test rider until they take testing seriously, and says this last year of testing was a joke.
