His zipper failed during the crash with Marquez, which is what caused his road rash.

 

Someone (can't remember who) said yesterday that the scooter crash caused the rash. Which makes sense, as it's very typical for him to unzip his leathers and take out his chest protector to walk around with his chest exposed.

 

Yikes. Not a good look for Alpinestars.
