Anybody buying Series I Savings Bonds? I had never heard of them, but it seems like a good deal. You can't put very much in, but it's a decent guaranteed return.
I'm not gonna be around in 30 years, and AT&T is paying a better dividend (though it will be cut to ~4-5 ish next year) and has a decent appreciation upside. (fair disclosure, I own T in my IRA)
So I bought at what was pretty close to the bottom............first time timing the market right in fo' eva.
My understanding is that you can cash them after 1 year. Under 5 years and you lose 3 months of interest. Maybe I'm wrong.
You're right on that front, but the interest is only guaranteed for six months, then it readjusts for inflation. You're only guarantee is you won't lose your principle and accumulated interest. They are meant to keep up with inflation.

What trading platform do you guys use? I have Etrade, Schwab and Robinhood. I'd say I like ETrade the best, but I'm not thrilled with any of them.
Fidelity isn't the prettiest, but gets the job done with less-no fees. Etrade charges a lot of fees. Robinhood has the best UI, at least on mobile, but also sells all your trading info.
Only fees I've encountered are when buying some junky penny stock or for a stock split. 99% of my trades have been free. No complaints in general with Etrade but TBH, I haven't tried others
IIRC, etrade charges on options an some OTC stock stuff. https://us.etrade.com/what-we-offer/pricing-and-rates
Fidelity is who I bank with as well, so it's nice seeing all my money in one dashboard. Plus, they refund all ATM fees so when you're out at a "bar" and there's a $10 ATM fee, they refund it
