SV650 Spears Racing Build (NY) $4500

Greetings-
I’ve been owned the bike for most of this season, but it is simply overkill for my riding ability. Very well interested in trades +\- cash.

The bike is a 2001, gsxr front end, Spears built motor and Marchesini wheels. Carbs and air filters cleaned last month, gas filter and oil just done this week. I do not know when the suspension or motor was gone through last, I can tell you the engine idles smoothly and there are certainly no mechanical issues. Tons of spare parts included

What kind of rear shock does it have. Does the motor build include a slipper clutch?

 

Hi Trevor. It’s got a Penske shock in the rear. Has a quick-shifter, no slipper clutch

 

Flat slides?

 

Yes, I believe 41mm. Flatter than a nuns behind

Pretty sure this was one of Ted Temple's bikes, who sold it to another LRRS regular in VT before it headed to NY. No idea on run time or build spec from Spears but Ted's bikes were usually nice builds.

 

You are correct, I purchased it and brought to the Syracuse area where the OP picked it up off of me. I only sold it since it wasn't really my cup of tea. That being said it is a extremely solid bike.
