A large enough ozone machine will clear the worst of smells, if left running for several days with some air circulation. I've smelled some before and after comparisons, and always been impressed with the results.

 

Or microwaved Vietnamese leftovers I ate plenty of cold steaks at my last job, if I didn’t beat the Vietnamese finisher to the microwave at lunchtime
