Hope it goes well for her. https://www.roadracingworld.com/news/american-kayla-yaakov-competing-in-fim-yamaha-r3-european-cup/
I’m a fan. Met her in June at Nelson last year. Just a chatty little ball of energy that a 13 year old girl should be. Hope she does well and enjoys the experience.
Super great to see this. She is an enthusiastic ambassador of her sponsors and is obviously very fast. Looking forward to see her progress.
So I assume this means she won't be doing motoamerica? Either way, this is well deserved. She is an awesome young lady.
Me too! I love being able to point out these kids to casual fans and let them know they kicked my ass.
Very nice family and young lady. I met her at Barber, she passed me and 4 others on a corner. She can ride, hope her fun continues and many win's that go along with it. I'm also a fan, it's nice to see them before they are famous.
best of luck to her. I do worry a bit, have seen several go this route then not be able to sustain it and then drop off the radar. Others simply grow up and have to get on about the business of earning a living. Go girl go.
True. And that’s why I hope she realizes what this time in her life is and the context in perspective. Look at Elena Myers. She’s not racing anymore and is a Mom. Kinda similar with Melissa Paris too. I know in my own experience as a parent I’m almost enjoying watching my son ride and race more than my own track time anymore. It’s kinda cool and a little bittersweet too.
