Great news, regardless if it's not where I'm sure you'd like to be at. This back surgeries take time, so just be patient... yes yes I've read that is not your forte ! But never the less, be patient. You definitely will start to feel different pains, because you'll always be progressing. So chances of what you're feeling right now might be the inflammation diminishing of the operation. Slow but surely, you will get there. Mine was nothing as invasive as yours and 5 years (next month) I still get nerve pinches and it shoots down my booty
Yeah, patience isn't really my thing. Stan said there is a fine line between doing a lot so I can re-teach my legs how to work, and doing too much which causes them to not work as well. I am still trying to find that balance point. I know those nerve pinches all too well.
Keep doing what you are doing... ! You're being smart about it and it'll help in the long run... and it will be long but will have an end
Hang in Chris. Do we all need to come down and have a party?? Looking forward to seeing you recovered! Glad you`re on the road!
Oh great...we'd have a dancer on an elliptical and someone holding a hairy ball. Just get better Bro...rootin' for ya.
Almost home. Been in Spain 6 weeks working. Landed in ATL from Amsterdam an hour ago, now on the flight to TRI. They originally said it be 6-8 months before I’d be able to go back to work. I told them I could do it in 4. Then after surgery when they realized I couldn’t walk and had severe nerve damage, they said it would be 8-12 months. I told them I would still do it in 4. They said “you won’t be able to do that”. I was like “Oh you really shouldn’t have said that... don’t tell me I can’t”. Even the wife told them “I really wish you wouldn’t have said that, now he will kill himself just to prove you wrong”. I got on a plane headed to work exactly 4 months to the day they cut me open. It was kinda surreal, because my plane departed at the exact same time of my surgery, literally to the minute. I got some funny looks because of the way I walk. But fuck ‘em. I did it. That’s all that matters.
Congrats. They’re looking at you funny because of how you walk? But you’re walking, and the looks aren’t for the way you look, now.
You aren't lifting and lugging shit anymore, right? You're a desk jockey? <muttering to myself> Dwayne Haskins, f@ck!
Pretty much. Luckily I get paid for what I know and what I can get done, not so much what I do myself.
Sorta. I still need some kind of light and look down. But I can do it better than I used to. I can look up every now and then and will keep walking while I do so.
Just because he bought a copy of Garfield: the movie on Blu Ray AFTER seeing it on HBO doesn't make him dumb. It makes him a simple man.
