Sooooo.... it was kind of a busy night at the backyard zoo last night. Plus four raccoons, 2 skunks, a possum, an armadillo, a feral housecat, and I couldn't tell you how many rabbits.
I am on google earth right now measuring backstop to the few neighboring houses. I have one that's within 20ga birdshot range, which as I understand it is less than 200 yards? Is this true? I probably will refrain from shooting in their direction. One just over 200 yards, next closest is 475. I think that's safe. Now, if only I hadn't lost all of my firearms in that boating accident....
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0734S356F Somewhat unreliable, but at that price point what can you expect. Sometimes they just randomly don't work for a day, then work fine... and they're WAY too sensitive to windblown trees & leaves. I have two set on the house and three set for game. The game cameras I just limit their hours of activity to night time. Overall I would still buy them again knowing what I know now. EDIT: And I went ahead & purchased ten 32GB SD cards so I could just switch them out every afternoon as I walk the dog. One got full one very windy day, on 5 picture burst setting and 10 second reset lapse
Thank you. My current one takes pictures of nothing and misses coyotes when I know they have been around. Frustrating.
