Unless you have money to burn and are running the AMA Twins class, I still don't see a compelling reason to get one of these over a Kramer as a club racer. As for street use, sportbikes on the street are just dumb.

You can get the RS and do a good SS build on it for less than the Kramer out of the crate, and run more classes?

More classes maybe, but show me the math on the costs...

IDGAF anyway cause Endurance is where it's at, and an SV or FZ is still gonna rule there for a while

I think a good Kawi 650 with quick change and quick fill gear would be pretty competitive :Poke:

Well, no one has really tried one here lately so it’s more a theory... :p

Not sure what part about sportbikes on the street you think is dumb, but the RS660 has better (more relaxed) ergonomics than your typical sportbike.

And, the torque of a twin on the street makes them fun as well. My Tuono was my favorite street bike ever. Ride it fast, slow, or whatever and it was always fun and the V60 sounded awesome with an Akrapovic pipe.

The top clamp with mounts for the clip-ons built on to it is fucking stupid.

Thanks for that, Ari did a nice review for sure.

From a racers perspective, yeah, but from a production / street standpoint, it's probably lighter and cheaper enabling some of the other features we see.

Looks like you could un-bolt the bar tubes, and add clip-ons below the current nubs if you don't like the position. This was definitely a cost savings measure to include the bar mounts with the triple clamp. This isn't an all out sportbike, so if you wanted to race it, I'm sure adding clip-ons below the triple clamp won't be too much of an issue.
