Volunteer! I volunteered for set up and tear down and I get a full weekend pass with lunch and snacks. I'll dig up the link, but it's pretty easy to do. I am sure that they still need help.

I would but I already moved on mentally to riding Dark Divide in Gifford Pinchot instead. :D

Where are you working? I'm usually around there as my best friend is about 12 miles from the Ridge. We ride dirt bikes near Mason lake, he lives in Union.

Anyone who wants to attend should just volunteer. Free entry, camping spot, food, and watch the races (I hope).

i recently saw a vid where they put a chicane on the front straight?? Is that going to be run in the MA round??

I think that was put in because of MA wanting it to go there.

I heard it was always planned... thats a 6th gear straight. :(

Yes for MA round (last I heard), and WMRRA is discussing using it for their next round. It's pretty tight and really far down the straight, so it will be interesting to see how everyone deals with it.

go check out the interview with Richard Stamboli and Dustin Coyner, they said it works well and creates another place where passing will take place so its a win win

It was Dustins vid I watched... Anticipating pros stringing 1-3 at a race pace was something I was looking forward to.
I did notice the straight was blocked by cones... so not all is lost.

You could already pass going into 1-2. T1 was a man's corner. I don't like the chicane.

Agreed. I ran the chicane at an OPRT trackday several days ago.
I struggled to sort it out on my long, heavy TL. Didn't really care for it at the end of the day.

Of course, that sentiment could change with more laps, and a lighter, flickier steed.

The track is a blast either with/without the chicane. With the chicane, it completely changes the nature of the track and it feels much tighter overall. Without the chicane, Turn 1-2 is no joke and incredibly fun to execute properly.

YouTube link for educational purposes! (with the chicane)
