Ours went in on the 6th as promised. Got closing info and signed it all for the PPP. Good timing as now we have to go from stressing over paying bills to stressing over running Roebling without any interference from locals and dealing with what looks to be a big ass crowd.
Seeems like the local community banks are the way to go with PPP. I had submitted no less than 9 applications to big banks and fintech firms and didn’t get anywhere. Hooked up with a local community bank. I did not bank with them and the only requirement was that I establish a checking account with them to deposit the funds. Applied last Thursday and got funded yesterday. Now I just need to find a CPA that understands the guidance for independent contractors and how it impacts Pennsylvania unemployment as I’ve struck out with the last 3 I asked. I’m not sure if I need to pay myself and, if I do, do I have to do it weekly, bi weekly, monthly, or if I can just wait until the end of the 8 week period and pay myself in 1 lump sum to get forgiveness on the payroll portion. If there are any independent contractors, sole proprietors, etc that are having trouble getting funded, let me know and I’ll send you a link. Doesn’t have to be in PA as they’ve handled other out of state people.
Nice! They must have forgotten me 'cause no check, not even a coupon for a 5 pound block of gooberment cheese.
Got my check in the mail on Friday, as well as the remainder of the sick pay I requested for staying home for a week after Daytona. I was cut back to four days a week as Shop Foreman. Now that we're (sort of) back to full staff and hours, I have formally said I'll remain at four days a week, less as the racing calendar dictates. I'm also collecting Social Security, so I'm good to go for now.
WAS there any hassling or interference from locals? Anyone trying to police you on social distancing, masks, or other guidelines? (There is not a shred of attitude intended in this post, I really do want to know, I have some travel coming up.)
Lol.. I just googled it , it does come in 5 lb blocks . They have enough in surplus for over 2 lbs for each living person in the United States . Broome would have a field day in that Warehouse . How much cheese could a Donkey eat
My mom (who died in December) got her check before I did (and haven't). Sick humor but still funny. I wonder if she'll vote Democrat this November?
I don't hear about many people donating their stimulus checks to charity since they don't believe in socialism.
Crap that means one might come to Mom (also lost her in December) which means I have to sort out the stupid as the executor.
