My apologies, sir. This whole exchange was all about references to that tarnation rock and roll music that the whippersnappers were listening to in the mid 70s, specifically, one particular youngster named Joe Walsh. In 1976, Mr Walsh released an album titled "...But Seriously Folks" which contained a song titled "Life's Been Good". One line of the lyrics of this song was ..."My Maserati does 185, I lost my license, now I don't drive" So, the personal plate was a reference to that song, but as @worthless pointed out, the guy got the lyric wrong. So when @2blueYam opined that that wasn't how the song goes, in response to @worthless , that's when I busted out another Walsh reference, specifically the title of his 1978 album, You Can't Argue With A Sick Mind. Now, I know none of this was ever on the Lawrence Welk Show, so you never saw it, but hopefully this post clears things up for ya!
