Of course, I spent my formative years in rural Nebraska. They may have given up on that good ole fashioned wisdom in the enlightened places earlier...

I'm not really familiar with "newegg". Heard of it, but never been on their site. Considering the international "shortage" of N95 masks. Can we take their word for it that these are available? Or, is this just another scam?

Anyone remember "The Great Brain" series of books?

Absolutely fantastic books, for pre-teen/early teenage boys, similar in style to hardy boys, but funnier.

They always loaded up all the kids into one bed. The brothers were always pissed off about it, cause one was most prone to getting it in the first place...

 

I live in a small town in Ne Ga. getting into the Jeep at tractor supply yesterday and had Lysol wipes to wipe down all my stuff I bought before I even put it in the car. Hear some dude say to his buddy “that’s a bit over the top”. Really? Cashier has no Ppe on, was about 10 people in line when I got there, she sure as hell wasnt sanitizing her hands after handling money, items etc. So basic math says more chance than I’d want to take catching it. I love red necks at times but others wtf.

 

Should governments be footing the bill to repatriate vacationers? Some governments have.

People were still planning vacations even when countries were locking down. Think tax payers should have to rescue them? I don't. None of em. Stuck on a cruise ship? Tough shit. Floating petri dish.

That's true. Turns out they're actually useful for fighting infections. Back in 50s and 60s they were pulling them like wisdom teeth!

 

Here in Michigan, there haven't been any clorox-equivalent wipes anywhere in weeks! We don't go looking every day or anything, but in our once a week jaunts to the store, those aisles are empty. TP came back a few weeks ago, but wipes? No way.

Holy cow, just saw a graph of NY hospitalizations and it wasn't a flattening of the curve, it was driving lemmings off the cliff drop. No clue if true or not.
