For you, it’s just like a lobotomy.

People had more kids back then also, when one kid got sick you wanted them all sick at the same time rather than first one kid,
then another, then another, etc.. You'd have illness in the house for a month and a half.

You mean parents didn’t intentionally expose their kids to mono? Weird.

    Steeltoe What's my move?

I'm still thinking June based on trends from Asia and Europe. More and more people are thinking that way.

New info from @UNC @DukeU @rti_intl and others reinforces how CRITICAL social distancing is to #SlowTheSpread of #COVID-19.
    • If we maintain current policies, models suggest there will be enough hospital beds in NC to handle growing COVID-19 cases in next few weeks.
    • Estimated peak stress on hospital bed capacity is mid-to-late-May.
    • IF social distancing policies are lifted after April, there's 50+ % chance hospitals won't be able to handle demand from COVID-19 (as soon as Memorial Day).
    • BUT keeping social distancing policies in place after April significantly reduces demand on hospital beds
    • Models show:
    - If NO social distancing after April = 750K in NC have COVID-19 by June 1
    - If we KEEP social distancing in place = 250K in NC have COVID-19 by June 1
    • @NC_Governor said modeling shows we will save lives if we #StayHome and keep our social distance right now.

I figured they were lying about his condition when they kept saying "he's fine, just running some tests, gonna stay over as a precaution".

He's the leader of the country, you think they just might be taking precautions?

I don't remember it either. Not without its merits though for something relatively benign at a young age.

    A bit like circumcision... :D

I don't know how you guys missed this, it was very common.
Or maybe your parents just hid the truth from you.
    Were you guys "delicate"?

    Now now, be nice honey....

Probably a matter of local customs. I remember tonsils flying out being fashionable for any kid with a cold.

That was a lot of typing to say nothing. Figure there is a high horse and a couple of insults in there but they were so over whelmed by blah blah blah that they were ineffective.

I know a whole lot of people in Alabama. None of them lead a remotely healthy lifestyle. Fitness and diet ain't real high on anybody's list I ever met down there.

Obesity has been one of the biggest risk factors they are saying. Something like 70-80% of folks that go to ICU for it are obese.
