    Hi Folks

I am prepping a TTR and would appreciate any input on what is being used as a catch can and were you are mounting.

    Thanks in advance

Take the 2 or 3 vent hoses and route them into a 1" diameter piece of tygon tubing thats about a foot long. RTV the top and put a threaded plug into the bottom.

Run that down along the top of the swingarm on the right side held in place with a zip tie.

I went very low tech and just zip tie a vitamin bottle to my frame-one around bottle, one around frame — I just unscrew the cap and dump it out to keep it empty...
But you have to use B12 to be fast

Thanks. I have a pile of parts to put on (bt45s, springs, handguards, jets) and had not worked out the catch bottle.

My set up has been passed at Sandyhook, njmp and pittrace.

Tim’s set up is more professional— my set up was what I did when I started years ago..
Have fun it is a blast.

Thanks for the ideas. I have been over thinking this. Funny that I am putting more thought into setting up this little bike than any big bike.

Can’t wait to give this minigp thing a go!

You're going to have a blast. MiniGP's obviously not Superbike racing, but it's still racing. In my opinion, the
kids 50 race is the best. They're so little..they're kids...but when they get on the grid, the face shields drop, the motors rev, and
it's ON! I absolutely LOVE watching them go at it.

I use 2 inch PVC pipe and a couple PVC end caps to make a small capsule. Completed, it's about six inches long in total.
Drill holes in one end of the capsule to feed the breather tubes in and a couple zip ties to affix it to the side of the motor.
I can post a pic tomorrow if you're interested in seeing the setup.

I got the idea from another MiniGP Dad.

I've also used an old prescription pill bottle with holes drilled in the top on my son's 50.

Yes, a picture of your catch setup would be appreciated.

I am expecting this to be a lot of fun. Several people have told me this is 90+ percent or more of the big bike track experience. I am relatively close to sandy hook and under 2 hours to njmp so figure what the heck.

Yes, please send or post a few pictures.

My goal is to get a few kids involved as well. The kids 50 sounds like a hoot to see. Look up videos of Marquez when he was a tyke. He is sliding and handlebar banging like a pro at 5.

Don't forget about DMVMiniGP in Hanover, MD not far from Arundel Mills Mall off MD100 exit 10.
If you're close to Sandy Hook, then that track's about an hour from you as well.

Thanks! I will keep an eye on the dates there, too.

Is the 12hr endurance race there?

Yes...I think it's Labor Day weekend.

Looking forward to that one. I haven't seen anything regarding the team structure yet.

Small baby bottles work well. Easy to ziptie, and because they're intended to be sterilized they are decently heat resistant.

Thanks for all of the input on the catch bottle!

Now my dilemma is to figure out what to do with the forks- cut the springs, go with the BBRs, which weight fork oil, etc. And I was already way over thinking the catch can...
