This most likely was the culprit. Very few sport bikes end up on track to begin with, so if you make one that has that limitation right out the gate then it's going to be that much worse.

I'll bet if the HP4 Race was street legal it would have done far better.....even with an $80K MSRP.

It is an absolute BANANAS bike, for sure. Saw it in the flesh last year at Sebring in the BMW hospitality tent.

BaT had one for sale last year but the reserve wasn't met at $37.5K, yet the few dealer listings I see are still asking $65-75K and up.

You need wings for Sbux. They look badass. Wonder what it costs to tip one of these over in the parking lot?

Went to our local Ducati dealership last night for the unveiling of the new Ducati streetfighter V4 S. Pretty cool but not as sexy as the Aprilia Touno. Looking forward to a demo ride in April on this. The wife is looking for a naked sportbike and she was really digging it. I told her to get the V4 S corsa haha

That Streetfighter S is still $10k more than a Tuono Factory. While I love the look of the new S and it's claimed figures...no f'ing way it's remotely that much better. Add to the fact the Tuono has cruise control for that little slab to the mountains and the S doesn't.

Yup, unfortunately only Beemer & Aprilia are the only ones who offer it stock.

Yamaha MT-10 has cruise control. Not sure why the R1 doesn’t.

If only they weren't trying to make that thing into a Transformer...I'd buy one in a hurry.

I'd probably sell the Streetfighter to justify it, but then I'd have to look at the MT every day, and I don't know if there's enough there to make up for that.

I'll keep the crossplane fun on track, and the chattery twins for the road.

  20. I use the shit out of it on the Multistrada when I'm taking long trips and stuck on the interstate. It works awesome.
