He was diagnosed with "*Lemmy cancer" and died two days later. Reading now it was heart failure.

    * extremely aggressive form of brain cancer.

    A real bummer.
I consider myself lucky to have seen them live 4-5 times.

My Mom bought me Ghost Rider about a year after my father died from brain cancer and I was fresh off losing a few friends in 2001 plus a divorce. It was good book at that time in my life.
as much as I can't stand Geddy Lee's vocal, Neils percussion was amazing.

I never knew much about Rush until I met and married my wife, she's a big fan. Although they're not one of my favourites I can appreciate why they were so popular, especially after we saw them around 12 years ago. I now count myself lucky to have seen both Neil Peart and Ginger Baker live.

It's no secret the guy was a role model of mine. A drummer, a motorcyclist and a cyclist. We had so many interests in common. He's the one who made me pickup drum sticks. A real inspiration. He did everything with passion, but without losing his judgment and his intellect. I am deeply saddened. He's one of the very few celebrities I would have lost my cool around. At least I got to see him live 5 times. RIP hero.

Very private guy. Wrote all they're lyrics. Rode his bike from venue to venue, weather permitting. My favorite band, working man made me attempt to play guitar

I was just reading some stuff on him, and while I knew of the losses of his daughter and first wife, I didn't know he had married again, and had another daughter. I'm glad he was able to endure those tragedies, and add another chapter to his life. I'm not sure I would have the strength do that.

Wake up lost in an empty town
Wondering why no one else is around
Look up to see a giant boy
You’ve just become his brand new toy
No escape, no place to hide
Here where Time and Space collide

You have entered the Twilight Zone
Beyond this world strange things are known
Use the key, unlock the door
See what your fate might have in store
    Come explore your dreams’ creation
