They boost red blood cell counts, which help performance and recovery. Also, transfusions have been used, where blood is drawn in the off-season, stored, and transfused during the competition season. Cyclists are more closely monitored than any other sport. The UCI constantly draw blood, so they can develop a baseline on the athlete. Then, if the athlete were to do ANYTHING, it’ll show up in a blood marker change.
I doubt it has anything at all to do with racing, that’s the sad part. He’s a dumbass and should just stick to photos off the bike. He’s too focused on stuff outside of racing and it doesn’t seem like that will change. I once had high hopes for the guy but those faded out quick.
I say fuck it. Get rid of ALL anti-doping rules in every sport. Make the rules “run what you brung” in all ball sports, bicycles, motorsports, fighting sports, all of it. Let superhuman freaks show us what the human body is truly capable of when combined with the right knowledge, supplements, and training regiment. Use it like a “proving ground” for human enhancement that can ultimately benefit everyone...similar the way MotoGP/WSBK etc develops parts that ultimately trickle down to production bikes.
MotoGP bikes will not dissolve in a warehouse when they turn 10. Experimenting with them has no long-term consequences.
This is step one. Step 2 muther effing cyborgs battling in barb wire enclosed arenas. Yep. I’d pay good hard American dollars to see cyborgs fight. And I don’t mean that chick who calls herself cyborg. Like real honest to god cyborg with glowing red eyes and metal legs and shit
Take 100 people and give them 10 years on a MotoGP bike. Then take 100 people and put them on a strictly monitored juice program for 10 years. I’d bet a year’s salary there would be more health related issues with the 100 riders. There are so many unsubstantiated myths about PEDs.
Light dose of HGH with Deca would do it and is commonly used together for muscle preservation, recovery and joint strength. Would be almost no sides to worry about. You can actually have a pretty high level of HGH in your system and fly under WADA so I would guess he pinned a little high on the AAS and got popped. Just guessing though. Only he or his trainer knows the truth.
I know I mentioned it in another thread, but I got FIM drug tested at NJMP this year. Split sample and everything. I thought it was kind of funny that it was "random". They obviously picked someone who would pass! I don't know what the list of banned substances is, or what levels are considered cheating, but I am sure it would help with recovery, focus, etc. especially for the riders that are getting a little older. I'm only 45 and I am having a lot harder time recovering from my workouts this year vs. last. It's like I fell off a cliff.
I couldn’t agree with you more..Remember when all the baseball guys were running cycles, the records were falling left and right! This would make sports so much more exciting and would generate more $ because of that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The one athlete in the history of sports where performance enhancing drugs failed to enhance his performance.
You're talking about the biopassport program. It's actually not quite so simple. Markers naturally vary during the course of life, training and racing. So they all have a tolerance range. If you know your parameters, you can gain advantage by fine tuning your PED use right up to the limits of the analytical tolerance. When they first started the biopassport in cycling, the anti doping people were amazed. Grand tour riders had basically the same values from beginning to end of a your. They knew how to juice precisely enough to stay exactly within tolerances. Steroids could be an advantage to a MotoGP racer in terms of reduced recovery time and improved body composition. Depends which ones. Not surprised Iannone got popped. Lance himself said not getting caught for PEDs was really an IQ test. Andrea just doesn't have the discipline to juice and not get caught. I wonder why Dani never got himself some HGH. With 10 kg more muscle mass he would've taken several premier class champsionships. AI is toast. Testing the B sample is just him rolling the dice that it won't test hot. We all know it will. The 4 year ban may as well be lifetime. Andrea probably won't be overly bothered though.
That’d be great, but it’s akin to how amateur drunks ruined it for professional drunks who knew how to drive home safely without plowing into a family of six on the last leg of their vacation driving for the day, the morons would ruin it in short order. Then again, the sponsorship dollars would be tremendous and crazy fans would probably donate lots of blood in the hopes that it would be used by their favorite rider for his next RBC and hematocrit repatriation injection. So, you get the Red Cross on board as well. Uccios would get their first blood test to see if they match the Jesus of Tuvullia’s blood type and then go in every two weeks for that free AIDS/Creutzfeldt Jakob test while helping keep the Italian Job’s olive oil level in tip-top shape. And if you thought the companies that make Smokey Treats had money to put into professional motorcycle racism, I can assure you drug companies have Fuck You money that’s backed by science and shit. The Regen-X System from Novartis Powered By Viagra Yamaha Factory Team could have a whole cheerleading umbrella girl squad wandering the paddock with t-shirt cannons that launched shirts with ROAD RAGE written on the front, but right above “ROAD” it would have crossed-out “ROID” lettering. And we wouldn’t leave out the opioids either. There could be a two-minute spot they goes on during the warm up lap with the latest injured rider going on about how great Duragesic works at pain management.
