Best odds are blackjack. Which is still 52% chance you lose. So over time even when you win - in the long run you lose Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Best player odds are blackjack. Odds get better by mastering basic strategy and sticking to it, about 1% house advantage. Learn to count and use it wisely, odds can swing greatly in your favor. As long as you don't go all M.I.T. with counting and betting the dealers don't care about a small time gambler counting.
Lol. I fully expect to lose. We are going with another couple In a couple weeks. All I have ever played is slots. Thought I would try and play a table game. Craps always looks fun but have no idea on how to play. Blackjack, I'm always worried about takin a card when I shouldn't and screwing the next guy.
Just ask the dealer or the other players for advise. If the other players don't like your playing, they'll move onto another table. Start off on $5 table.
Get a basic strategy card and stick to it. If you play basic strategy 100% you will never screw the other guys. Dont be afraid to double every 11, most 10's when dealer is not showing 10 or A, and always double A / garbage when dealer shows a bust card. Be very weary of a dealer showing 2, I loose more hands to a 2 than to an A or 10. Never split 10s/faces or 5's, always split A's and 8's
+ Solid advice/strategy right there. I’d add with, always double down on soft 17 and 18 against dealers’ bust card, 2-6. Always HIT soft 17 and 18 against 7-A.
Roulette. Single bet red or black, or figure multiple bets to cover more numbers. $5 roulette means you can do 5 $1 bets, or at least it did long ago.
My old boss had an 8th grade education and built a $50 mil per year construction company on just his moxie and common sense. And he could freaking gamble. In the long run, the man never lost. He told me once that craps and baccarat had the best odds in the house. Baccarat wasn't his thing but damn could he win at craps. He even went to the rough parts of town and threw against a wall with guys just like you see on TV. First time I went to Vegas I bought a book on craps and read it on the flight out. First night I was up until 4am and won $600 just betting small stakes. One of the best gambling experiences ever. Of course I went back the next night and gave $400 back to them but I broke his golden rule...if you aren't feeling it that night, walk away. It's no different than any other sport...practice until you feel confident and then go do it!
Only time I went to a casino was in Perth. I gave myself $50 spending money. Played blackjack and at one point was about $75 up before I walked away, I then lost that and my original $50 playing other games. But guess what, I didn't worry about losing it all as I'd had a great night out for $50.
black jack sucks. Craps is where its at. Bet the pass line and back it with odds. The pass bet is about .5% to the house. The odds bet backing a point is even money. Dont bet the extra crap, yo bets, hard ways, etc. If the table is cold walk away and come back. If the table is hot you will make so much money and have a lot of friends. A hot craps table is effing amazing. enjoy
Here is how you win at gambling. Stop by my house. Hand me all the money you plan to spend at the casino. I'll kick you square in the nuts and hold the money until you get back from the casino. When you get back I'll hand you the money and you can thank me for kicking you in the nuts. It'll be a lot cheaper and more enjoyable than when professional statisticians do it.
Go someplace cheap, like the Plaza or Binions. Bet the minimum on the pass line, then place odds. Once you see how it works you can place a come bet or two, with odds. Three bets is about my limit of ability to concentrate, especially when swigging free drinks as fast as I can.
I once thought about opening my own numbers lottery to compete with the State's. Every bet was a winner and I paid off 50% better than the State!.........You give me a buck, I give you 75 cents back and yell "You're a winner!" Not a casino, I know, but it illustrates the same process.
Set your limits. I only play craps and am very regimented how I gamble. I have certain rules like went I went in with $x and I get up to $x x 1.5 I take my original $x, goes back in my pocket and doesn’t come back out. Then once up to y keep taking x and put it in your pocket. Dealers and pit bosses always give you dirty looks but you will lose, but there are also good odds at some point you will also be up. Keep playing your going to lose. Also gambling, unless you are a pro gambler needs to be treated like entertainment. I treat it like buying a pair of tickets to a concert that you may get refunded for after the show but I assume once that money is put down it’s gone. I could gamble all day, everyday but you will piss away as much, if not more than a bad drug habit (not sure actual cost of either). I’ve won $26k playing craps starting with $200. In one sitting. After I got to $5k profit I broke my own rules and gambled more than I should have but never once reached back into my pocket. Plus was drunk off my ass and didn’t realize how much I was handing to my ex wife to put in her purse until we left the casino.
