Is it legal? Or do you HAVE to take an in person course?

I watched a video, passed an online test, and they'll get me one for $69?

    School me please

Depends on your state. Not all states require a training program, actual live fire, etc. This is why reciprocity isn’t universal.

Im pretty sure every state law varies when it comes to CPL.

Call your local PD or Sheriff and talk to them on what's requires.

Do you have a hunters safety cert? If so that is your "approved training" for a WI CCW. Kinda giggled then shook my head when I seen that when the rules came out.

Florida requires you to discharge rounds down range in a safe manner.

In PA it is largely up to the county and Sheriff. I live in the Alabama part of PA (vs the Commie part of PA ) so my Sheriff is strictly by the law....no BS.

In Minneapolis you’re required to demonstrate proficiency firing from a moving vehicle and hit center mass in one out of a thousand rounds holding your weapon gangsta style.

If you are an honorably served veteran take your DD214 to the dept of agricultural, fill some forms and BAM, in the mail it will come. Very easy. Well at least in FL, can't speak to other states if same holds true.

    Ok, I'll be "that guy".

I'd really rather you not get it from some online bullshit test. Go get actual training. Just because you have a document that says you can carry, doesn't mean you should, or are capable of doing it responsibly. Legal ramification understanding, and competency with the firearm, are greatly appreciated by the rest of us.

This, plus your questionable thought processes riding a motorcycle and now being armed, glad you are in WI (the OP). :D

Judging by the type of posts you make here, I would suggest getting some actual training/guidance before getting your permit to carry, regardless of the requirements.

Hate to pile on, but OP's posts on how to obtain a gun strike me as someone who definitely should get some training and take a class regardless of state requirements.
