I still feel that I am sensing some Honda/HRC bullshit. They seem to be blaming the lack of success on the Pirelli tires not suiting the CBR, so they will develop the next one to work with them. They have never won the WSBK or any other major series with the CBR and they want to blame the tires? That bike has always been a POS on the track compared to all of the competition. They are just now taking it seriously? I believe the 2020 will also suck and they won't have success until they do a total redesign of the bike. Maybe this one is actually significantly better, but I doubt it. It looks like Honda is just looking to save face by blaming the tires and the teams they have been supporting. Next year it will be Puig's fault.

James Toseland won the World Superbike championship in 2007 on a CBR1000RR.

I had totally forgotten about James Toseland. I mean really forgotten, not even just in the context of the CBR. I wonder how his musical group is doing?

No no no. What happened is that Honda gave the HRC interns the WSBK project, but weren't given any money to develop a bike, so they just took the Suzuka bike and put the wsbk graphics on it and went drinking sake. They forgot that bridgestones are different from Pirellis and got caught. Now the big boys are going to show them how to really disappoint the Honda fans.

HRC hasn't had anything to do with the WSBK stuff for a long time unless that changed this year.

  11. Not this year but it was kind of a starter for next year by removing TenKate.

The new Honda will not be released, as Area 51 was not, I repeat ~not~, invaded this weekend. So it stays behind the HRC curtain.

Some new lawnmowers may be released soon, however.

Don't forget Aussie SBK too, just last year as a matter of fact....and on Pirellis too.

If you're going to ask the question about the 1000, why not include the 600? Isn't there more 600s sold than 1000s here in a typical year?
