Just went and read the write up. He’s .2 off the lap record in FP1. Wow.

I need to learn to fish if this is what it does.

 

That’s an absolute beat down he just laid down.

 

Piano men looking a bit better in FP2. Vinales/Rossi/Quarter/Marquez.

Pretty sure MM is still gonna run away with it based on that FP1 pace, but it will be interesting if Yamaha can keep this momentum and show a lot of progress with their new setup and hopefully making the rear tire last. They performed miserably here last season.

 

What’s going on with the ginger? He gets last place even in the e race.

MM’s FP1 pace was unholy. That really puts everyone else on their back foot.

At this pace, Marquez is going to set the record for most points scored in a season, take Rossi's record of largest points gap to second place in a season and take Doohan's record of most wins from a pole position.

 

And probably doing so within only 200 races

Can they trade riders like they do with players in other sports? If i were Honda i'd be looking to trade Lorenzo for Zarco or Fabio or hell... even Folger at this point. At least at Ducati he showed flashed of speed from time to time before he got it really figured out.

 

There was that brief flash of speed before he took out Dovi and both factory Yamahas...

 

MM is working on race pace and everyone else is just trying to figure out how he went so fast in the first session.

 

Marc used softs in FP1 and went for a quick lap. Puig said he was worried about the weather, but I think he is mastering the mind games.

 

Sooo. Barring a disaster I’d say Marc has this one pretty well wrapped up

 

Jeezus man, 2 seconds on everyone right off the trailer. Still concerned about how jacked he was at parc ferme last race. Spooky.
