The FAA tells TMZ Sports ... the airplane rolled off the end of the runway at 12:40 PM PT. Apparently not.
If everything was working ok and weight etc etc it should have been plenty .It was a cessna latitude.
That’s why I asked. I figured, one of the aviation types would be along and I wanted to save them from having to look up the runway length, since it’s the only meaningful info I can offer.
Yes Hence my "pilot error" comment. There is a chance something failed on this landing like the ABS, spoilers, etc...but with no rain, ice on the runway these usually end in something like ...pilot failed to maintain appropriate approach/landing speed, failed to go around and landed long. The aircraft departed the end of the runway....
Also my first thought was "did jack Roush get back in the cockpit". If you dont know he survived writing off 2 jets he crashed...lucky bastard
Rich, they all fly into Elizabethton because it's so close to the track. I'm sure that plane has made many landings and departures from there.
