Glad they got off before it turned into a BBQ...

That’s a good sized plane. Is a 4500’ runway long enough?

It had a right turn at the end.

The FAA tells TMZ Sports ... the airplane rolled off the end of the runway at 12:40 PM PT.

    Apparently not.

That’s why I asked. I figured, one of the aviation types would be along and I wanted to save them from having to look up the runway length, since it’s the only meaningful info I can offer.

    MCAS was clearly the culprit.

    Yes

    Hence my "pilot error" comment.

There is a chance something failed on this landing like the ABS, spoilers, etc...but with no rain, ice on the runway these usually end in something like ...pilot failed to maintain appropriate approach/landing speed, failed to go around and landed long. The aircraft departed the end of the runway....

Also my first thought was "did jack Roush get back in the cockpit".

If you dont know he survived writing off 2 jets he crashed...lucky bastard

I hope not. The pilots are real good guys. The one has been flying for JR since his lear 60 days.

Elizabethton Airport, holy crap could they not afford to land at Tri-Cities.

Rich, they all fly into Elizabethton because it's so close to the track. I'm sure that plane has made many landings and departures from there.
