Not to get too far off-topic, but, these bikes all have TC and electronic mitigation. Are they simply cutting the intervention too far back, because the video of this crash had the bike painting a long, solid darky before ejection? Or, is the TC holding that rate of spin and once the limit is reached the power chop is, then, ejecting the rider? They say Carlin Dunne’s crash was a highside, as well. I wonder if the scenario was similar?

Looked like the first bike hit a bump that could have caused the rear to unload enough to allow the tire to spin up like that.

TC isn’t anti crash, as you said still very easy to over extend the limits of the settings on the tc. I’d imagine on the roads it’s much more exaggerated as well due to change it surfaces / traction.
I figured at the TT either he’d clean up or be mid top 10. Judging by the results I think it’s time for him to call it a day. I absolutely hate to say that but I just don’t think his heads right. This is totally just opinion based and no inside info on him. That’s just a lot of shit to deal with and I cannot even imagine getting on a bike after what he has dealt with in his life. I know that’s pretty much all he knows and I’m glad his beer gig is getting some steam. All the family knows is racing so it’s easy for me to sit here and say that because I am not in his shoes and I have other things besides racing.
